William was one of the best tutors that has ever worked in our Student Success and Tutorial Center! He was patient, had an excellent rapport with students, was passionate about teaching students how to learn, and took great satisfaction in seeing others succeed! William’s tutoring efforts were admirable and contributed immensely to the course success and completion rates of students who received his assistance.

William has tutored me through Trigonometry, Precalculus, Calculus I, and Calculus II. He is extremely knowledgeable, kind, and, most of all, patient, making sure to walk me step by step through the concept of solving a problem so that I completely understand the process. He is always on time and is a true pleasure to work with. He was instrumental in helping me maintain my 4.0 GPA through these difficult courses!

Math is not my favorite subject. In fact, I struggle with math more than anything. However, about three years ago I began attending an open tutorial math session at Merced College where I met William the head math tutor. I was amazed at how he was able to help me with all of my math classes.
